Payton Woodcroft, Registered Massage Therapist
Payton is a newly registered massage therapist who graduated from Lambton College (2012). During her educational career, Payton had many opportunities to work with a variety of individuals, young and palliative. She has also had the opportunity to experience hands-on learning while attending a cadaver workshop in Oahu, Hawaii.
New to the Massage Addict team, Payton is an enthusiastic and personable therapist and is excited to start her career in helping others. Her goal is for her clientele to experience comfort, care and relaxation, as well as gain an understanding of the benefits of natural health through massage therapy.
Kelly Martin, Registered Massage Therapist
Kelly is a very thorough Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who graduated from the Medix College Accelerated Program and started practicing in 2016. She will assess and treat by the standards of practice set forth by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario to find the cause of dysfunction.
Her education and previous background in healthcare allow her to create safe and effective treatments for her clients. Having had experience with many injuries including fractures and a motor vehicle accident, she understands acute and chronic pain, the effect that it has on a person’s life and how much massage can help. She has a long history of horseback riding, so she knows the movements required and injuries involved.
She is a lighter pressure therapist, who treats every client with what that person’s body tells her it needs rather than forcing the body tissues; this way the body can respond naturally and stress free. Kelly believes in finding and treating the cause of dysfunction and is primarily specialized in injuries, pain, and myo-fascial release (MFR). She also uses many different techniques, both general swedish and advanced to find what is most effective for each client. She has found that home care is vital to healing and will teach exercises to interested clients, to allow for even better results. Kelly offers many treatments such as: relaxation, postural dysfunction, trigger point release, injury rehabilitation/prevention, tension relief and myo-fascial release. She especially enjoys treating injuries, scoliosis, and nerve conditions. She is interested in continuing education and has many certifications, including aromatherapy as well as trauma and mental health.
Aleksandr Vinokurtsev, Registered Massage Therapist
Aleksandr (Alex) is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Lambton College. He has experience working with a variety of clients, treating conditions affecting all ages, from children to seniors. Alex uses a variety of techniques to treat conditions related to office work. He has experience treating sports injuries and helping clients maximize their physical performance. Alex is motivated and energetic, and is constantly developing his skills and learning new techniques.
His goal is to ensure that his clients receive a massage that is both relaxing and therapeutic, reducing any discomfort or pain and improving well-being.
Alex has personally experienced the benefits of massage treatments for improved posture and general health. He is passionate about providing quality treatments to his clients that will allow them to experience all the benefits of Massage Therapy.
Jennifer Boag, Registered Massage Therapist
Jennifer graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2002 with a Bachelor of Education. A few years into her career a growing interest in wellness therapies drew her to the benefits of massage therapy. Wanting to help and educate people on the beneficial outcomes of massage, Jennifer made the decision to study therapeutic massage with D'arcy Lane Institute, graduating in 2008. Today, she has developed skilled massage treatments that practise Swedish massage trigger point therapy along with advanced massage techniques such as GTO release and joint play (GTOs are nerve receptors that monitor muscle tension), and Myofascial release.
Jennifer frequently treats clients with postural imbalances, chronic pain issues such as fibromyalgia, sports massage, prenatal massage, treatments to aid in stress release and mental health issues. She considers the overall well-being of her clients with a focus to treat musculoskeletal problems her clients are experiencing, including any compensating structures potentially adding to their health concern.
Jennifer has also studied orthopedic massage and plans further education to incorporate additional treatment techniques with a continued focus on the holistic needs of her clients health and body functions. Jennifer builds relationship with each client in a safe and caring environment that encourages client education and communication as integral to her client care.
Lakeshia Romany, Registered Massage Therapist
Lakeshia has been with the Massage Addict team for 4 years after graduating from the Advanced Massage Therapy program at Fanshawe College in 2018. Lakeshia began her education at Brock University and graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology Honours Degree, giving her a strong foundation in anatomy and exercise physiology.
Thus far as a Registered Massage Therapist, she has experience working on the rehabilitation of athletes, specifically Varsity and Olympic. Lakeshia also has experience in Pre and Post-Natal massage, Pediatric massage, concussion management, overuse injuries, and TMJD.
Lakeshia focuses on the goals of the client whether that be pain relief, rehabilitation or maintenance of health. She strives to meet these goals through implementing a variety of modalities such as Therapeutic Exercise, Fascial Release Therapy, Joint mobilizations and stretching to treat acute or chronic conditions.
She looks forward to continuing her education in the related field and offering her gained knowledge with her clients to better their future recovery.
Brady Armstrong, Registered Massage Therapist
Brady is a graduate of the Registered Massage Therapist program at Fanshawe College and is also certified in Cupping Therapy. He was drawn to preventive health maintenance and rehabilitative therapies from a young age through an active participation in sports and exercise.
Brady works with soft tissue, fascia and joints into deeper layers of muscle. His pressure techniques vary from relaxation massage to deep pressure therapeutic treatments. All treatments are targeted to the requests of his clients with assessment of beneficial outcomes.
Nurturing a trusted relationship that adds regular massage therapy into a health and wellness plan for each client, Brady stives to provide a caring, safe and understanding environment that encourages healing and pain relief.
Olivia Baptista, Registered Massage Therapist
Olivia is a registered massage therapist who graduated from Fanshawe College in 2017. She can provide a range of techniques based on the client’s individual needs. Olivia has experience providing massage to clients with a variety of health conditions such as injuries, chronic illnesses and rehabilitation. Her focuses are on therapeutic relaxation massage and fascial release techniques.
Olivia’s goal is to provide therapy that has a positive effect on her clients’ health and wellbeing. Olivia knows first hand the value of massage therapy and homecare exercises can have to improve the quality of your life. Olivia is a dedicated therapist with great compassion and respect for her clients seeking the benefits of massage therapy for any reason whether it be for relaxation or therapeutic needs.
Shilah Samuels-C, Registered Massage Therapist
Shilah graduated from the Massage Therapist program at Fanshawe College. Her passion for therapeutic massage developed after receiving the benefits of massage therapy for athletic injuries. She uses her personal knowledge of sports and the human body to assist her client's well-being and healing processes through a range of techniques that include fascial release techniques, stretching, and joint mobilization. Through an assessed treatment plan, Shilah works with her clients toward their desired goals of rehabilitation and pain relief. She also works with clients who seek a relaxation only massage. She looks forward to continuing her education to gain additional knowledge and techniques to support her clients in recovery.
Shilah is fluent in English, and French.
Zach Sporbeck, Registered Massage Therapist
Zach is a graduate of Fanshawe College’s Registered Massage Therapy program. He specializes in being able to accommodate a desirable pressure for all his clients through Swedish massage. While focusing on providing his clients with relaxation, accompanied with decreasing and eliminating tension found throughout the body.
Zach takes pride in keeping his body in tip-top shape, both physically and mentally. He spends a majority of his spare time at the gym working out. Other hobbies of his include golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family. Especially his dog, a black labrador retriever named Sidney.
Zach followed in the footsteps of his mother, who is also a registered massage therapist. Massaging runs in the family, as he finds immense enjoyment and fulfillment in helping his clients reach a higher state of overall well-being.
Barbara Stauttener, Registered Massage Therapist
Barbara Stauttener graduated from triO College in 2021 and specializes in Swedish, relaxing and Deep Tissue massage. Massage has many benefits for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Barb became a Massage Therapist because she wants to help others achieve optimal health.
Barb enjoys family time, playing with her dogs, snowmobiling, going on motorcycle rides and camping.
Erica DeMers, Registered Massage Therapist
Erica, is a Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN).
Massage therapy Treatments provided are individually tailored to support client goals while monitoring tissue responses with various applied techniques. Erica uses a combination of general Swedish massage with ailment specific techniques that range from addressing fascial restrictions to penetrating deeper into tissues and tendons through trigger point release and frictions. Throughout treatment, Erica encourages diaphragmatic breathing to promote deeper relaxation that allow tissues to respond for optimum treatment benefits.
Erica has spent her career studying the human body with particular interest in the Immune/Lymphatic System. She plans to continue education and specializations to dive further into lymphatic diseases and manual lymph drainage.
Erica is passionate about the human body and it’s ability to correct ailments and heal itself when fuelled with proper nutrition and therapeutic modalities. She looks forward to connecting with you and helping you achieve your wellness goals whether they range from relaxation to rehabilitation.
Joel de Wit, Registered Massage Therapist
Joel is a registered massage therapist who graduated from Trios College (2023). He also holds an honours Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Redeemer University (2019). During his education at Trios College, Joel had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals, and gained experience in helping clients with many different health concerns.
His kinesiology degree gives him a very thorough background in understanding how the body functions, and he greatly enjoys using this knowledge to tailor the most effective treatment for his clients. He particularly enjoys working with clients through rehabilitation of injuries, and helping them return to their full capabilities. Joel believes in taking his time to understand the root cause of dysfunction, and providing a treatment to address it fully, through a combination of massage treatment in the clinic and prescription of at-home exercises.
Joel focuses on creating an environment in which clients feel comfortable and ensures that the treatment he provides will address his clients’ concerns. He is looking forward to furthering his knowledge and skills in the practice of massage, and helping his clients to promote their health and wellness.
