Our Registered Massage Therapists

Ava Brown, Registered Massage Therapist

Hi there! Thank you for stopping by.

A little about my career: I have been a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Massage Association, and the CMTNB, since graduation from CCMH (Bedford NS) in 2006. I have a lovely blend of massage experience, thanks to years of working in different spas, gyms, health clinics, a yoga studio, as well as outbound work for people in their homes and office environments.

TMJ dysfunction is a niche market for me. This work can aid in decreasing intensity, and frequency of migraines, headaches, upper body tension, tooth pain, and mobility of the jaw. I have a keen interest in energy, energy techniques, and how it all affects the body.

I am a firm believer in “where the mind goes, the body follows.

I am also trained to help you with the following:

  • Myofascial release (Cupping and gua sha would also be in this category)
  • Deep tissue techniques
  • Prenatal massage
  • Therapeutic hot stone
  • Have taken workshops in learning how to better treat clients who have PTSD
  • Relaxation massage
  • Treatment for those with chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, and fibromyalgia
  • Certified in Reiki (Level 1 only, thus far)

I hope this is clear and helpful. Thank you so much, and I look forward to working with you!

Erin Black, Registered Massage Therapist

Hi there! My name is Erin Black. I have been in the wellness industry for over 10 years now. I graduated from eastern college in 2010 with a health and wellness diploma, which led me to become a personal trainer. I graduated from the RMT program in 2019. I am extremely passionate about helping people grow and succeed in their wellness. Integrating movement and stability are two of my main focuses when coaching and massaging my clients. I love doing deep tissue and sports therapy massage techniques while encouraging specific home care to better service my clients and their results. I enjoy watching individuals grow and change in a positive way. I am also a clinic supervisor at eastern college where i monitor the students massage techniques and help them grow as therapists. It is humbling to see the students progress while they learn to become RMTS. Working with massage addict and the massage team has been an amazing 3 years!

Emma Humber, Registered Massage Therapist

Emma graduated from Eastern College in June 2024, and is a part of the AMTNB. She chose Massage Therapy to better understand how the body systems work in hopes of connecting that with her energy work and understanding; such as Reiki and the mind-body connection. She has taken courses in Personal Training, Reflexology and Reiki; and offers both TMJ and Intra-oral treatments.

In her treatments, Emma focuses on specific work on muscles, usually deeper pressure, and always beginning with diaphragmatic breathing in hopes of disengaging the sympathetic nervous system to obtain better results. Emma values a thorough assessment before each treatment to ensure full understanding of client concerns.

Outside of massaging, Emma enjoys painting, drawing and playing music. She loves hiking and anything outdoorsy. She is an avid weight lifter and lover of yoga and meditation.

Branden Ryan, Registered Massage Therapist

Branden graduated from Massage Therapy in 2016 at Academy Canada in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He is a part of the CMTNB and AMTNB.

He wanted to be an RMT as he had a spinal condition growing up that resulted in a lot of pain and headaches. Massage therapy really helped him a lot, and he wishes to help people the same way. Branden has taken courses in cupping and foam rolling. He has a focus on clients with neck pain, headaches/migraines, trap & upper back pain, rotator cuff injuries, and plantar fasciitis.

Outside of work, Branden is a musician, he loves to cook, lift weights, go swimming and kayaking.

Jade MacDonald, Registered Massage Therapist

Jade graduated from Massage Therapy at Eastern College in August 2020. She is a part of the CMTNB and AMTNB.

Growing up Jade played a lot of sports, which resulted in many injuries that required massage therapy and physiotherapy, so she saw first-hand how much it can help. The human body had always intrigued her, so Jade initially began taking courses in Kinesiology, but ultimately decided to go the massage therapy route. Jade enjoys being able to help people throughout their healing process.

With a speciality in deep-tissue work, Jade has also completed courses in cupping and guasha. Outside of work, she enjoys any on ice sports; especially hockey, ringette, and skating for fun. She enjoys hiking, especially throughout the summer.

Natasha Bussieres, Registered Massage Therapist

Natasha graduated from Eastern College in 2023 with honours. She is in good standing with both the AMTNB and CMTNB.

Natasha believes massage therapy should be an experience where clients can relax their nervous systems, decrease pain and tension and develop a healthier relationship with their bodies. Intuition and intention combined with science guides her practice. She is especially passionate about helping veterans who suffer with chronic stress and anxiety, PTSD and the physiological effects of trauma.

Natasha is trained in Swedish massage, soft tissue release, trigger point therapy, myofascial release as well as deep-tissue massage.

In her free time, you will find Natasha enjoying the outdoors; hiking, camping, and tending to her plants and garden.

Jessica VanTassel, Registered Massage Therapist
