Our Registered Massage Therapists
Ava Brown, Registered Massage Therapist
Hi there! Thank you for stopping by.
A little about my career: I have been a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Massage Association, and the CMTNB, since graduation from CCMH (Bedford NS) in 2006. I have a lovely blend of massage experience, thanks to years of working in different spas, gyms, health clinics, a yoga studio, as well as outbound work for people in their homes and office environments.
TMJ dysfunction is a niche market for me. This work can aid in decreasing intensity, and frequency of migraines, headaches, upper body tension, tooth pain, and mobility of the jaw. I have a keen interest in energy, energy techniques, and how it all affects the body.
I am a firm believer in “where the mind goes, the body follows.
I am also trained to help you with the following:
- Myofascial release (Cupping and gua sha would also be in this category)
- Deep tissue techniques
- Prenatal massage
- Therapeutic hot stone
- Have taken workshops in learning how to better treat clients who have PTSD
- Relaxation massage
- Treatment for those with chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, and fibromyalgia
- Certified in Reiki (Level 1 only, thus far)
I hope this is clear and helpful. Thank you so much, and I look forward to working with you!
Erin Black, Registered Massage Therapist
Hi there! My name is Erin Black. I have been in the wellness industry for over 10 years now. I graduated from eastern college in 2010 with a health and wellness diploma, which led me to become a personal trainer. I graduated from the RMT program in 2019. I am extremely passionate about helping people grow and succeed in their wellness. Integrating movement and stability are two of my main focuses when coaching and massaging my clients. I love doing deep tissue and sports therapy massage techniques while encouraging specific home care to better service my clients and their results. I enjoy watching individuals grow and change in a positive way. I am also a clinic supervisor at eastern college where i monitor the students massage techniques and help them grow as therapists. It is humbling to see the students progress while they learn to become RMTS. Working with massage addict and the massage team has been an amazing 3 years!
