Jordan Phillips, Registered Massage Therapist
Jordan graduated from Robertson college spring 2023. He is associated with MTAM. He is a theatre actor and director as well as an RMT, so you may catch him performing with various theatre companies around the city or see his name on a playbill every so often. His theatre company Sheep On A Mission has been in the Winnipeg Fringe Festival a number of times over the years. He's also told that he has a very expressive yet soothing voice.
Jordan's personal mission in life is to create safe spaces. Whether at his job, in his hobbies, in relationships, etc., he wants to create spaces where people can escape from the burdens and dangers of life outside; spaces where they can come to be seen, heard, cared for, and ultimately safe. Massage therapy felt like a great industry within which to do that. If he can help a person’s stresses and worries melt away from both their mind and body for even an hour at a time, that feels like a high calling to him.
Jordan is an avid cyclist, and, in the summertime, he enjoys hooking a trailer up to his bike and pedaling out to various campgrounds (Bird's Hill, St. Malo, etc.) for a few days at a time. Also, he and his significant other are both project people, so they are always picking up new hobbies and exploring them to various degrees. Jordan is a musician and songwriter, he has his own recording studio, he loves playing board games, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and he has recently been getting into chain maille.
His Treatment/specialties styles lean more toward the therapeutic side of massage than the simple relaxation side. A slower pace and deeper pressure are the keys that he's found to treatment that is both enjoyable and effective. Jordan also found that he has had a bit of a specialty when it comes to tension headaches.
Jordan is very eager to assist in your treatment plan at Kildonan Crossing Very Soon!!
