Our Registered Acupuncturists
Cindy (Ruwen) Yan, R. Ac
I am a Registered Acupuncturist. I graduated from Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2017. I have treated patients with pain related illnesses and other health issues using acupuncture combined with other treatment modalities such as guasha. I enjoy helping people getting better and I also like to find new ways to improve my treatment methods.
In my spare time, I enjoy taking walks, reading books and watching TV shows.
Josephine Lau, R.Ac
Josephine has a Bachelor of Science Honours degree majoring in Biology from Queen’s University. Her interest in fisheries biology led her to a mentorship under Dr. Bruce Tufts in the Queen’s University Freshwater Fisheries and Conservation Lab. During her time in Kingston, she was involved in volunteering for the QU Student Music Educator’s Association to sing to young toddlers, a paediatrics outpatient clinic to organize activities in the waiting room, and a student organized club to help promote environmentally friendly and sustainable products.
While shadowing healthcare practitioners during the summer months, Josephine discovered her interest in a more holistic approach to health care which led her to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture at Humber College. With her extensive training at the Humber Tzu Zhi Clinic and People With Aids Foundation, she was able to treat a wide range of conditions from MSK and pain management to digestive issues and mental health. Josephine continues to pursue continuing education in order to provide her patients with the best care possible and prioritizes patient comfort in her treatments.
